BIOGRAPHY

Vanessa Milan was born in Treviso in 1986.
She attended the Art School of Treviso (Painting Program), and the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice , getting first the Bachelor Degree in 2009 and then the Master Degree in 2015 in Graphic Art, under the guidance of Professor Paolo Fraternali.

During the academic year of 2007/2008 she worked as a tutor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice (Graphic Art Program), while between the 2008 and the 2009 took part in the Erasmus Programme in Granada.

Engraver

Since 2009 Vanessa Milan has collaborated with Laboratorio Libero 43 (located in Forte Marghera, Venice) dealing with engraving, silk-screen painting and printing as assistant of the above mentioned artistic lab at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice.

In 2010 she moved to New York for a few months, organising some solo exhibitions and taking part in different collective as well.
In 2011 worked as lab assistant at the Venice Printmaking Studio of Murano (Venice).
In 2012 she became founding partner of the artistic association Laboratorio Libero 43 – for print of Venice – and in 2014 of the association DoppioFondo as well.
In the same year, Vanessa Milan began to create, illustrate and print books for Edizioni DoppioFondo, realised with traditional print techiniques whitin the lab.
She currently lives and works in Venice.
