In conjunction with the 60th Venice Biennale, the Concilio Europeo dell’Arte presents “InParadiso Art Gallery 2024” an event showcasing the richness and diversity of contemporary art from around the world. The first exhibition of this event is dedicated to Contemporary Korean Art, The Essence of K-Art – A Journey from Hand to Spirit, and remains open to the public throughout the duration of the Biennale, offering an exceptional opportunity to explore the evolution and talent of Korean artists.

This exhibition serves as a fascinating showcase of how Korean art has skillfully blended tradition with modernity. The displayed works provide an in-depth look into South Korea’s cultural and artistic heritage through the creations of some of the most influential contemporary Korean artists.

Featured in the exhibition are Ha In-doo, known for his innovative use of traditional and modern techniques, creating works that explore the essence of Korean spirituality; Park Seo-bo, a founder of the Dansaekhwa (Korean monochrome) movement, whose works reflect a profound exploration of texture and color, continuing a global artistic tradition; and Ko Young-hoon, whose distinctive aesthetic explores the dialogue between history and contemporaneity, enriching the visual art landscape with new perspectives.

The exhibition also includes works by Jung Hye-ryun, who continues to challenge and reinvent the boundaries of Korean art with her innovative visual interpretations. Her pieces are perfect examples of how tradition and modernity can coexist and converse, offering a fresh and stimulating view of the Korean art scene.

The exhibition, currently ongoing, invites the public to immerse themselves in a visual journey that not only celebrates contemporary Korean art but also offers significant reflections on its evolution and role in the global artistic context.
